Delhi Daredevils

The team called Delhi Daredevils is one of the teams which played in the Indian Premier League, and is a franchise based in the city of Delhi . The captain of the team is Virender Sehwag, who is known as the Icon Player of the team. The owner of the franchise is the GMR Group, who paid an amount of eighty four million U.S dollars for the rights of the team.When the first season of the Indian Premier League started, the Delhi Daredevils were ready, and they had most of their main players during the whole tournament except for Daniel Vettori. Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag were the two Delhi openers, and the bowling attack was led by Mohammad Asif and Glen McGrath, two of their foreign players.
In the tournament the team won four of their first five matches, but they were unable to maintain this level of form. They did manage to reach the semi final matches, but the Rajasthan Royals defeated the Delhi Daredevils by one hundred and five runs. This was surprising because they had defeated the Rajasthan Royals in the first match they played. The home ground of the Delhi Daredevils is the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground and new floodlights have been installed there.
