Is it the end of One Day International Cricket after the arrival of T20
Popular amongst masses despite the changes. The fans of cricket initially enjoyed the form called test cricket which was the only form in the olden days when cricket started in England . The Royal game or the game of the Lords as it was once known came with the British Raj into the sub continent and hence forth became embedded in the hearts of the natives of Southeast Asia . Many countries adopted test cricket including the two neighboring partition led countries of India and Pakistan . With the commercialization of the game it became evident that test cricket was a difficult form for fans to keep track and thus expecting sales and media attention throughout the five days was not a practical option and thus this a more quick form of cricket called one day cricket was introduced. One day cricket was a huge success overnight and the ICC rules of guidance were modified in order to pave the way for maintaining standards in one day cricket. The test cricketing form however did continue and was more respected of the two despite of one day cricket's popularity amongst the masses. In recent times within the last five years came another interesting shape of the game with the name 20/20 which means that instead of the regular 50 over of a one day game played by each team they will only play 20 over each and who ever scores more at the end of the 20 over will be declared the winner. This has made the game far more interesting and exciting and has attracted more crowd than ever before. Some critics say that one day cricket will be out done by 20/20 however most still believe that true cricket fanatics will support the game no matter which form it takes while more money shall be made out of the shorter innings as compared to traditional cricketing forms.
