Kolkata Knight Riders

The team called the Kolkata Knight Riders is one of the teams which played in the Indian Premier League, and is a franchise based in the city of Kolkata . The captain of the team is Saurav Ganguly, who is known as the Icon Player of the team, and the coach of the team is John Buchanan. Korbo, Lodhbo, Jeetbo Re is the official them of the team, which translates as "We will do it, Fight for it, Win it". Black and gold are the official team colors. There are eight clubs which together form a part of the Indian Premier League, and the Kolkata Knight Riders is one of them. The team has been bought by a partnership between Jai Mehta and his wife Juhi Chawla Mehta, and Red Chillies Entertainment, which is a company owned by Shahrukh Khan who is a Bollywood actor.

In the 2008 season of the India Premier League, the Kolkata Knight Riders started out in good form, and they won their matches against Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore. But in the next four matches the team started failing and lost all of them. They tried coming back into the tournament, but lost crucial matched and failed to reach the semi finals.
