India defeated Pakistan by 140 Runs in the first encounter
Indian Team is playing some very good Cricket off late . They continued their good form against their arch rivals Pakistan . India won the toss and elected to bat first , although the wicket was doing some thing in the initial stages but then gradually settled down and became a paradise for the batsmen . Indian Opener started aggressively and forced the opponents team to go on the back foot . They played shots all around the wicket and used the power plays . Sehwag came to the party and smashed 13 boundaries with in no time and scored 81 crucial runs , Gambhir continued his good form of the IPL and scored 62 runs . The fielding was not up to the mark , Pakistan Team dropped many catches and ground fielding was ordinary , in the middle period Indians played really good Cricket and posted a total of 330 runs . The openers fell early for Pakistan and pressurized the middle order who failed to take the pressure and crumbled . Pakistan just managed to score 190 runs with the highest score of 53 runs from the skipper . Man of the match award was given to Virender Sehwag .

The Mumbai Indians lost and the Jaipur Rajasthan Royals won the match played between the two teams after Dilhara Fernando did a misfield and Sanath Jayasuriya fumbled the ball. This happened on the last ball of the innings. The Jaipur Rajasthan Royals won the match by five wickets. Initially the Mumbai Indians were looking to win the match, as the Jaipur Rajasthan Royals needed three runs to win from the last ball. But this fell to only two runs from the last ball and the pressure decreased when Fernando bowled a wide. The last two runs were made when Fernando failed to stop an easy shot from going past him. To make it worse Jayasuria did not collect the fielders throw which came to him at the bowlers end.
All this drama resulted in a partnership between Ravindra Jadeka and Niraj Patel for the sixth wicket, and amounted to sixty nine runs without any of them losing their wicket. Pakistani cricket team for series in Bangladesh to be announced in the coming week.
There will be a series played in Bangladesh next month and there will be three teams playing each other. It is said that the players who will be playing for the Pakistani cricket team in this series will be known by next week, and this team will be announced by Salahuddin Ahmed, who is the chairman of selectors.

Andrew Flintoff going to miss one day international series

The England cricket team wanted Andrew Flintoff with them as he is one the best all rounders playing for their country, but unfortunately the thirty year old player could not make it and was dropped by the selectors because of his injury. Andrew FLintoff himself said that the recovery period for his side strain injury was around six weeks, and it has only been around three weeks. And because of this fact, he says, he is most likely to miss the whole series. But there are chances that he will get fit before July 11 when England plays a Test match against South Africa.

The President of the International Cricket Council, Ray Mali, has said that the United Arab Emirates will become one the best, if not the best, location for the playing of international cricket matches at the top class level. He said that the International Cricket Council has taken certain initial steps for the purpose of creating a partnership with Dubai Sports City. The aim of this partnership is to create a home for cricket in the United Arab Emirates.
When the construction on the cricket stadium of Dubai Sports City is completed, says the Ray Mali, there will be a lot of matches played here, including international matches and matches of tournaments organized by the International Cricket Council.
The Dubai Sports City cricket stadium can prove to be a perfect location for the Champions Trophy. There are a number of cricket playing countries who want the United Arab Emirates to be a location for cricket on the top class level.
But he says that there is one thing which should be made sure of; drawing the nationals of the United Arab Emirates to the game of cricket as well. This would probably take time, but would be worthwhile in the end.
